The CDC I/O 3216-C is a 4U fixed construction unit with 32 mic/line analog inputs and 16 XLR analog outputs. A dedicated low-latency MegaCOMMS audio network protocol is used to connect the stage box to the mixing console. Using only one pair of coaxial cable connections, the CDC I/O3216-C can be placed up to 150 meters away from the mixing console. The microphone preamp can be remotely controlled on the mixing console, and the output can be distributed. To complete the user interface, indicators are provided including signal/overload/phantom power status indication, plus mute indication for the outputs.
