The CDC4m is developed on the basis of the characteristics of the CDC4, providing users with GEQ and PEQ on the left and right channels of the main control, all auxiliary buses, and 6x4 matrix, as well as dynamic processing. The product  represents the essence of Cadac to provide high-quality solutions for different segmented markets and budgets. The CDC 4m is completely a special digital mixing console with the appear, feeling and ease of use of an analog mixing console.

The CDC4m brings Cadac's sound and manufacturing quality to the compact, rack mountable digital Mixing console market. Provide a high-quality solution for all applications and budgets.

The CDC4m has 16 full motor faders, high-resolution TFT color display screens, and fully restorable scene memory. We have used specially developed extremely low distortion EQ, pure analog sound compressor, 96kHz 24-bit DeltaSigma AD/DA converter, and the fourth generation 32/40-bit floating-point SHARC processor, which feature as the iconic sound quality of Cadac.

Regarding audio performance, the main function of CDC4m is to serve as a live sound console for use in concert tours, commercial applications, schools, and entertainment venues, but it also can be competent in recording application. The advantage of being able to be installed in a rack makes it an ideal choice when a 19-inch rack requires 56 channels.

Multi-track recording is achieved by an optional MC MADI bridge, which can increase the input channels for live sound applications. With the optional CDC I/O3216 stage interface box, additional 32 inputs and 16 outputs can be provided on stage, with a transmission distance of up to 150 meters.

In addition to the left and right channels of the master control, the CDC 4m has GEQ on all auxiliary buses. When combined with the CDC I/O 3216, the 6x4 matrix of the mixing console, GEQ, parameter EQ and dynamics can be found on the stage box output.

With Cadac's iPad application-TabMix, the main features of the mixing console can be remotely controlled. The tuner doesn't have to be stuck in the place of the mixing console, so the sound detection and performance time can be more flexible.

Preamp

Like all Cadac digital mixing console, it is extremely prudent and subtle to add analog elements in the design of audio paths and conversion steps. The CDC 4m preamp has a wide dynamic range, extremely low background noise, and uses high-quality components to provide excellent common-mode rejection ratio and classic Cadac sound, which is clean, transparent and pleasant.

Delay management

One of the main reasons why Cadac's digital consoles sound so clean and transparent is the emphasis on delay management, which is often ignored by other digital consoles.

Like the flagship Cadac CDC 8, the CDC 4m delay is deterministic, and automatically managed.

The key to high-quality audio reproduction is that the delay should be synchronized, which ensures that all audio is phase continuous at all times.

Screen

The central 7-inch HD TFT display screen can display all channel parameters, as well as scene controls, effect processors, MIDI status, and can edit routing controls.

Fine adjustments can be made by pressing the rotating encoder. Bus routing, pre/post fader aux sequence and detailed dynamics are all displayed on the screen. This saves front panel space for quick access to real-time functions.

Central allocation modules

Central control modules (CAM control EQ, group allocation, VCA control, effects, aux sends and dynamics) each has separate controls without a "fold" or scrolling menus. This allows it to operate as quickly as an analog mixing console. For output EQ and dynamics, the main control has dedicated controls so that your mixing can start immediately at any time.

MegaCOMMS interface card

The MegaCOMMS interface card is the CDC 4m's audio interface that allows the mixing console to take advantages of Cadac's MegaCOMMS audio protocol. This card allows the CDC 4m to connect to Cadac series of stage boxes, increasing the input number to 64 and output number to 26.

The expansion card can be easily inserted into the rear panel of the mixing console, and can be connected to the stage box via 2 coaxial cables, with a length up to 150 meters. This eliminates the need for heavy, bulky and expensive analog multi-core cables every time.
