CADAC Immersive Sound Classic Case

The quality of sound is often the soul of a performance. In order to comprehensively enhance the auditory experience, Jiangxi Changnan Cultural Center, a comprehensive venue that integrates large-scale concerts, drama performances, and academic presentations, has recently completed a comprehensive upgrade of its audio system. It has introduced the immersive sound system of the internationally renowned British brand CADAC, creating a highly immersive sound field with a strong surround effect, making every performance "sound" moving.

Before the renovation, the venue audio system faced multiple challenges:

·The main hall needs to be compatible with different types of performances such as delicate solo to majestic symphony, and the system needs to have a wide dynamic range and precise sound and image localization;

·The acoustic complexity brought by building structures makes it a technical challenge to achieve uniform coverage throughout the entire field and avoid harmful reflections;

·The intensive performance arrangement in the venue requires the system to have both rapid deployment capability and high reliability;

·Simultaneously meeting the high demands of actors for stage monitoring and the audience's expectations for immersive listening experience.

In response to the above requirements, the CADAC team has customized an immersive sound system for the venue through multiple rounds of field surveys, consisting of a British CADAC CP series immersive sound processor, DVRS-8 speakers, and German K&F speakers.

Immersive Sound Processor

The system core adopts the British CADAC CP series immersive audio processor. The processor successfully utilizes various algorithms such as HOA, WFS, VBAP, etc., and can render various audio formats such as mono, stereo, 5.1, 7.1 into immersive 3D sound effects. Whether it is vocal dialogue, instrument solo, or surround sound effects, the CP series can accurately restore the spatial position and motion trajectory of sound, presenting an immersive audio-visual experience for the live audience of Changnan Cultural Center.

Main Expansion&Surround

The main sound reinforcement and surround sound are respectively equipped with German K&F SEQUENZA 10 full frequency line array speakers and DVRS-8 speakers. Its high frequency is clear and transparent, the mid frequency is full and rich, the low frequency is solid and powerful, the overall sound field is clearly layered, the positioning is precise, and it fully adapts to the high standard requirements of various performances for sound quality.

The successful upgrade of Changnan Cultural Center provides a system example for similar venues to learn from. The perfect combination of two well-known brands, CADAC from the UK and K&F from Germany, confirms that modern audio systems are no longer just "amplification tools", but important carriers of artistic expression.
